Personal Assistant | Social Media/Campaigns

I am seeking a reliable, organised and creatively minded Freelance Social Media and Campaigns Assistant to support the delivery of publishing marketing campaigns and day to day campaign coordination. This role combines hands on social media support with light personal assistant style tasks that help keep campaigns, communications and schedules running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is comfortable switching between creative execution and practical support, is well organised, and has strong interest in the publishing industry. This role will offer opportunity to improve one existing skills, and gain in-depth knowledge of the range of campaigns execution across different regions within the publishing industry.

Job Description

  • This is a freelance role, working closely with a Creative Consultant overseeing multiple clients and campaigns. This will be a salaried role with initial working hours ranging from 15 - 20 hours per week with scope to increase during peak periods.

  • Social Media and Campaign Delivery

    • Create, adapt and schedule social media content to client briefs and goals

    • Assist with the delivery of multi platform campaigns across META, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn

    • Support key campaign moments including cover reveals, publication days, events, and press features

      Design and Asset Support

    • Design and adapt social media assets using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

    • Edit images, graphics and short form video for social platforms

    • Work from campaign briefs and brand guidelines while contributing creative ideas

    • Use Figma where required for collaborative design work

    Campaign Coordination and PA Style Support

    • Support campaign planning by maintaining content calendars, schedules and to do lists

    • Assist with coordinating campaign timelines, deadlines and approvals

    • Help organise assets, folders and documentation across shared drives

    • Provide light personal assistant style support including diary assistance, meeting scheduling and inbox monitoring related to campaigns and authors

    • Support liaison with authors, influencers, designers and partners as needed

    Reporting and Community Support

    • Monitor social media channels, comments and messages and flag important engagement

    • Assist with basic reporting on social media performance and campaign activity

    • Support influencer outreach and partner amplification where required

  • Essential

    • Experience supporting social media or marketing campaigns, ideally within publishing, media or cultural organisations

    • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator

    • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

    • Clear written communication skills and strong attention to detail

    • Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively as a freelancer

    • Based in Nigeria

    Desirable

    • Experience using Figma

    • Familiarity with TikTok and short form video

    • Experience working with authors, creatives or cultural partners

    • Basic understanding of social media analytics

    Practical Details
