Niki Igbaroola is a Project Manager and Marketing Strategist with 9+ years’ experience delivering and scaling programmes across publishing, arts and non profit sectors. Experienced in building operational systems, leading cross functional teams and managing budgets to deliver high impact, artist centred work across the United Kingdom, Europe and Africa.

She is Project Manager and Founding member of the non-profit literary organisation Pfumo Collective; a new literary endeavour looking to circumvent the major challenges facing the creation and production of creative non-fiction by writers from Africa.

Currently, she is Senior Marketing Executive for Watkins Media overseeing marketing across their imprints: Angry Robot Books, Datura, Repeater Books and Nourish. In 2026, she was announced as a mentor for the 18th cohort of Mentoring Matters where she will be supporting early stage creatives.

She was previously Campaigns Manager at Jacaranda Books, leading on the systemic delivery of partnerships and campaigns across the business and its front and backlist titles. She has produced campaigns for a global list of award-winning authors and titles. Her short documentary-style film in partnership with FANE Productions and Kontour Productions for Alford Dalrymple Gardner’s memoir, Finding Home: A Windrush Story was shortlisted for the 2024 IPA Awards for marketing.

Alongside her work in visual campaigns, she also developed and produced the Female Fear Factory for Cassava Republic Press and How Do You Feel Now Podcasts as extended campaign podcasts to support the publication of titles at various publishing houses.

She is a published poet, with her work included in The Colour of Madness anthology, an award-winning non fiction writer, with her piece ‘Does Anyone Really Have It’ winning the 2022 Stream Lyric, Black Writers on Democracy Commission. Her articles have appeared in publications like Black Ballad and Stylist Magazine.

As a curator, her projects have included ‘In The Black Fantastic’ at the Southbank, the BlueDot Festival Manchester, MANDEM at the V&A, and the Novel Voices and Complete Works event series for the University of Manchester.
